Step3 were commissioned to work with the Princess Alexandra Hospital on the design and build of a brand new website for the new hospital programme, a website unique to the NHS new hospital programme, one which would centre around
engagement and community building, as well as bring the amazing staff that work in the Trust to the fore, through a specially commissioned photography campaign.

We designed and built a stand-alone website to be the hub for all communications and engagement activity with staff, patients and the local community on the new hospital
plans. Together, we created the look, feel and content for a website that “doesn’t look like all the other NHS websites”, and facilitates interaction and engagement rather that simply
news and information.

The website has been praised by Trust staff and other new hospital Trusts for its focus on user-engagement, as well as for its jargon-free content and accessible design.
